i am obsessed with all things food, especially if it is local and organic, but i also love bacon, search out the best burger, and want to try new and unusual dishes. i want to know what monsanto is up to and why, how what food we eat is related to our health, and is there a way to start an urban garden where i live? stay tuned. all that info and more is to come…
Congratulations. I will look forward to reading each entry.

Gretch – Your new website looks FANTASTIC!!! I’m trying to eat more “real”foods now (as compared to Frozen Everything!!!)
Keep it up – I’ll let you know how my first try at “real cooking” turns out!!
Hope all is well with you!!
I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I’m reading you every day and it always makes me hungry! Especially like the post about the French dip sandwiches. We used to go to Phillippe’s when I was a kid; sawdust on the floor and all. I loved it less for the sandwiches than the “old time LA” feel.

Hello,
I find this fun and I enjoyed looking at your blog too! I hope to add more recipes like you – now if I can figure out how to take a good photo. We too eat local as much as we can – I plan on using potatoes from the garden for the next “Dish it’ challenge. Now, if I can fugure out how to raise a salmon in time for the 3rd round… All the best!

well i don’t think i can compete with potatoes from your own garden, but mine will come from the farmers market. hey, if you figure out the raising salmon in 3 weeks thing, give me a heads up, otherwise it’s off to my butcher http://www.mccallsmeatandfish.com for me! congrats again on winning week one!

I’m enjoying your blog – and thanks! The ATK blogger challenge is just fun – I’m still playing, but they stole my salmon recipe in the last magazine addition!!! I’m lost at what to do now….. BTW, the bread is their recipe too – no knead bread. It really is good and I even blogged about that too. Keep in Touch.

Gretchen,
I stopped by and saw Dave yesterday and he told me about your site. It’s amazing! I used to work with your mom in the late 80’s through the 90’s but never had the pleasure to meet you. Of course she talked about you and Aaron A LOT. One of my favorite memories is going home to the Gray’s Bay house and making grilled cheese sandwiches with onion and pickles over our lunch hour. Keep up the great work.
